

About Our Founders: Eric Chapman
In 1999, the late Eric Chapman and his wife Adina Salmansohn,
together with Diana and Lee Humphrey, founded Adiana String Instruments, Inc.
Eric was on the cutting edge of violin making in the United States, first as a Founder and President of the Violin Society of America, and then as a violin maker/ appraiser/dealer. As President of the VSA, he directed five international violin making competitions and was the recipient of many medals and awards.

Diana and Lee Humphrey
Lee Humphrey is a graduate of Harvard College and the Harvard Business School. His
father was George Humphrey, who was a member of the Boston Symphony Orchestra
as a violist for forty-three seasons. In 2007, Lee published his father’s autobiography,
Becoming A Musician.

Owner and President: David Yonan
David Yonan represents the Company in the US. He has expertise as an
international award-winning performer, educator and expert in the world of string instruments. He has served as Coordinator of Strings at Columbia College Chicago, and North Park University. In 2003 he founded the Fine Arts Music Society, and festival in Chicago.
